What we collect

Wahub collects the minimum data needed to operate the directory:

• Listing data: WhatsApp group/channel names, descriptions, and invite link metadata (obtained from publicly accessible invite pages).
• Account data: If you sign in, we store your email address for authentication purposes.
• Usage data: Anonymized click counts and page views to improve the service. We do not track individual users across sessions.
• IP addresses: Temporarily processed for rate limiting and spam prevention. Hashed before storage; never sold or shared.

What we don’t collect

• We do not collect or store WhatsApp member lists.
• We do not read messages inside any group or channel.
• We do not collect phone numbers.
• We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

How we use your data

Listing data is used to power the directory and search functionality. Account data is used solely for authentication and ownership verification. We never sell your data to third parties.

Data retention

Listing data is retained as long as the listing is active. If a listing is removed or goes dead, its data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion. Account data is retained until you request deletion.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can also request a listing be removed from the directory. Contact us at our contact page for any data-related requests.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare: CDN, DNS, and DDoS protection.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery (magic links).
• Cloudflare Turnstile: Bot protection on forms.
